TOP (Textile SwitchOver Process) – atelier is a collective research project (2019 – 2021) with the support of Circular Flanders and wants to show that it can be profitable, scalable and market-friendly to make high-quality products from low-quality textile waste streams in Belgium. The solutions offered by TOP-atelier support the (sustainable) fashion industry in Flanders and are a first step in establishing sustainable relationships within the industry, specifically for upcycling. It contributes to the policy objectives regarding the transition to a circular economy.
